A look at some of the photos from our last party on 15th December 2007
On the 15th December 2007 we had a wonderful event which we opened up for mostly Montecani friends and family as a way of us getting together.
We had over 50 people and 50 dogs at a wonderfull scenic setting at the old Abbey and Abbey Barn. This beautiful setting allowed us to let both dogs and children (and any adults up to it !) run free in the acre of grounds.
We provided some hot food and constant cups of tea and coffee (and wine to those in need!) in order to ward off the cold, but we were all very pleased that the rain and snow had stayed away, and bright sunshine helped make the day the success it was.
Our show went down extremely well, and generally everyone had a good chance to sit and chat and catch up as the dogs all played and chased each other around the barn grounds.
Everyone enjoyed their turn in the 'ring', and all took part in good spirits, many taking home their rosettes as winners of the day.
We even had lots of 'junior handlers' getting themselves in shape in readiness for the real show scene in a few years time !
Those involved told us they had had a really great day out, making us feel proud of our achievements and hard work at getting the day all organised and pieced together.
We handed out prizes to all of the show winners, as well as winners rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
All dogs attending went home with a golden 'Santa' goody bag full of chew treats, a ball, a whistle, training treats and a flashing Burns LED 'B-Seen' light for their collar.
We must say here a HUGE Thank YOU to both Heather Johnson for being a truly brilliant judge for our show, and to Sandra Shelley for providing us with the rosettes which we 'doctored' to make our very own. Thanks ladies !
Consequently, as such a great time was had by everyone who attended our first party, we have decided to add 2 party dates to our diary this year, all strictly by invite only, and both at the same venue (The Abbey & Barn at Audley End)
Dates for Summer 15th June 2008
Dates for Xmas Party 13th December 2008
Due to the success of the party at Xmas we decided to raise much needed funding for research into canine epilepsy at the AHT and therefore feel to do this we would open up the 'invite' list and extend it to over double our last capacity -
We also ask those attending our parties to contribute by paying a £5 per adult ticket price, of which all profits shall be going to "Ollie's Fund into Canine Epilepsy Research"
Our 2 show winners - Well done Ladies !
